Workplace and Random Drug Testing

A pre-employment drug test is used to determine if a prospective hire uses illicit substances or abuses prescription medication. It may also be used for employees who are returning to work after an injury or absence, at which time it may be referred to as a pre-placement drug test. It is common for employers to require a job candidate to complete a pre-employment drug test, and a job offer may be contingent upon the applicant’s ability to pass. These drug tests typically screen for the use of the following illegal drugs (but can test for others if needed):

• Amphetamines ( crystal meth, speed, base, crack , ecstasy )
• Cocaine Metabolite (cocaine, crack)
• THC ( cannabis, marijuana, hash)
• Opiates ( heroin, opium, codeine, morphine )
• Phencyclidine ( angel dust, PCP )

Immigration Permit

LABHOH provides laboratory tests necessary for the application for an immigration permit at DIMAS.

Veterinary Pathology

LABHOH also offers veterinary pathology. Veterinary or animal pathology examines animal tissue and bodily fluids for diagnosis,  disease surveillance, prevention, and treatment.

COVID-19 Testing

LABHOH is the biggest professionally accredited COVID-19 PCR laboratory on the island of  Aruba. With over 113.000 tests performed since the start of the pandemic, LABHOH has been regularly tracking variants of the virus throughout the pandemic in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).
