Pathology test

The pathologist examines cells and tissues of patients. This is mainly done at the request of other medical specialists, such as surgeons, skin doctors or gastrointestinal and liver doctors.

Reporting periods in accordance with the NVVP guidelines depend on the difficulty of the case and complexity of the material.

  • Autopsy 6 weeks
  • Body and skull autopsy 10 weeks
  • Cytology pap test 10 working days
  • Special cytology 3 working days
  • Histology 3 working days
  • Histology with immunohistochemical examination 5 working days
  • Frozen section 30 minutes
  • Revisions internally 1 week
  • External revisions 2 weeks
  • External consultation 2 weeks to 1 month
