We are also actively involved in infection prevention and control both within the hospital and in support of public health efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Our team of trained laboratory professionals is dedicated to delivering accurate and high-quality diagnostic services. We use a variety of modern laboratory techniques to ensure fast and reliable results.<\/p>\n<p>Samples such as blood, urine, stool, or swabs are sent to the Medical Microbiology Laboratory to help identify the cause of an infection. The laboratory detects and isolates microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, or fungi that may be responsible for a patient\u2019s symptoms. These samples are also analyzed to determine how the microorganisms respond to antibiotics, which helps guide effective treatment. In addition, the lab may detect antigens or antibodies.
